Upon receipt of this request, we will schedule your Pool Closing appointment and send you an email to confirm the date. We will make every effort to accommodate your chosen Pool Closing appointment date. However, if we cannot schedule your Pool Closing appointment for the week you have chosen, we will schedule you for the next closest date available and email that information to you. If this alternate date is unacceptable, please contact us as soon as possible and we can try to reschedule.

Option 1 Pool Closing $210.00

What we do:

• drain water from filter
• winterize pump with Pump Protector
• add Non-Toxic Antifreeze to pump & heater
• install Gizzmo(s) in skimmer(s) & plug pool line(s)
• remove ladder(s) & handrail(s)
• add closing chemicals to pool water

What we don't do:

• vacuum the pool
• add any chemicals beyond the closing chemicals included with this option
• install the winter cover on the pool
• clean or balance the pool water
• blow out the underground pool piping
• add Anti-Freeze to underground piping
• clean and/or repair filter element
   

Option 2 Pool Closing $300.00

What we do:

• complete Option 1
• installation of winter cover secured with water tubes

What we don't do:

• vacuum the pool
• add any chemicals beyond the closing chemicals included with this option
• install the winter cover on the pool
• clean or balance the pool water
• blow out the underground pool piping
• add Anti-Freeze to underground piping
• clean and/or repair filter element
   

Option 3 Loop Loc Pool Closing $300.00

What we do:

• complete Option 1
• installation of Loop Loc pool cover

What we don't do:

• vacuum the pool
• add any chemicals beyond the closing chemicals included with this option
• install the winter cover on the pool
• clean or balance the pool water
• blow out the underground pool piping
• add Anti-Freeze to underground piping
• clean and/or repair filter element

Additional Closing Services

Option 4 Cleaning of Filter Element $160.00

After closing the pool, we will take your filter element to our warehouse where it will be chemically soaked and cleaned. We will replace any damaged grids or manifolds.** We will then deliver and reinstall the element in your filter. We will not perform an Option 4 on Hayward Perflex Filters.

*Price applies only when ordered with an additional pool closing option.
**You will be charged for both the Option 4 charge and for any materials needed to repair any damaged grids or manifolds.

Option Close Spa $40.00

Option Close Spa includes: draining the spa, winterizing the spa piping and returns with Anti-Freeze, and refilling the spa.

*This Option only applies to spa that are integrated into the pool pumping and filtering system

Option 5 Cleaning of Filter Element & Chlorine Generator Cell $225.00

After closing the pool, we will take your filter element and your Aut- Chlor Generator cell to our warehouse where they will be chemically soaked and cleaned. We will replace any damaged grids or manifolds on your filter element.** We will then deliver and reinstall the element and cel. We will not perform an Option 5 on Hayward Perflex Filters.

*Price applies only when ordered with an additional pool closing option.
**You will be charged for both the Option 5 charge and for any materials needed to repair any damaged grids or manifolds.

Notes

If your pool was not installed by McCarthy Pools please list the type and brand of filter, pump, heater, and/or heat pump you have. Also, please list any additional information you would like us to have (pool gate lock combinations, directions to your home, etc...)

Terms and conditions - please read carefully

• Modular Media Filter: If you did not request the Option Element service, we will leave your filter elements out beside your filter. You will need to clean them before the pool is opened next Spring. Do not throw them out.
• The Closing Chemicals include 4 gallons of Liquid Shock, 1 Winter Grade Algaecide, Pump Protector, and Non-Toxic Antifreeze.
• The charge for the Closing Chemicals is included in the Option Price. You will be billed the Option price plus the sales tax on the chemicals.
• We cannot guarantee that your pool will be crystal clear in the Spring. There are many factors (the condition of the pool water when closed, the amount of precipitation during the winter, the water temperature of the pool in the early Spring, and the date on which the pool is opened) that affect water clarity which are beyond our control. If you plan to use the pool Memorial Day weekend, we strongly recommend that the pool be opened in early May 2008.
• Cleaning and repairing filter elements are not included in Options 1, 2, or 3. If you would like that service,please choose Option 4 in addition to either Option 1, 2, or 3. The charge for Option 4 will be in addition to the pool closing charge.
• Please leave your winter cover, water tubes, gizzmos, and winter plugs at poolside. Any item not available or functional at the time of your pool closing appointment will be replaced by McCarthy Pools and will be charged in addition to the Option price. If the above items are not available on your pool closing appointment date and a return visit is necessary, you will be charged accordingly.
• Storage of Chemicals: Make sure to put covers back on all chemicals for the winter. STORE CHLORINE IN A ROOM AWAY FROM MOISTURE, LADDERS, HANDRAILS AND YOUR LAWN MOWER. Cool and dry is best. Chemical gases can damage metal.

Be Sure That

• The solar cover has been removed from the pool prior to your pool closing appointment date.
• The pool has been vacuumed and cleaned prior to your pool closing appointment date.
• There is power at the pool pump.
• For pools with Time Clocks, be sure to remove the "on/off" trippers prior to your pool closing appointment date and switch the time clock to the "off" position after your pool has been closed.
